Eagle Biosciences Hydroxypyridinium Crosslinks HPLC Assay Kit

Source date not recordedAnalyse record ↗

For research use only, not for diagnostic procedures. Urinary PYD and DPD reflect mature collagen resorption and are not measures of AGE crosslinks or new collagen synthesis; excretion has a strong circadian rhythm requiring controlled collection or creatinine correction. The manufacturer package insert is accessible; current stock and supply were not confirmed. Kind
Collagen-resorption crosslink research assay
Type of test
Reverse-phase HPLC with fluorescence detection of urinary pyridinoline and deoxypyridinoline
Sample
Human urine, preferably a 24-hour collection or creatinine-corrected morning collection
Provider
Eagle Biosciences
How to get
Contact Eagle Biosciences about availability of catalog CSL34-H100 (100 tests). The accessible package insert lists the IC3201rp HPLC column and IC3201ko control set separately; the method uses hydrolysis, solid-phase extraction and fluorescence HPLC.
Details
Urine is hydrolyzed and cleaned by solid-phase extraction before isocratic reverse-phase separation. Pyridinoline and deoxypyridinoline peaks are recorded at 290 nm excitation and 400 nm emission and quantified against the supplied calibrator.
