3Helix F-CHP Collagen Hybridizing Peptide

Source date not recordedAnalyse record ↗

For research use only and not intended or approved for diagnostic or therapeutic use. It detects exposed unfolded collagen strands and matrix remodeling; it does not identify glucosepane, pentosidine, or another chemically defined AGE crosslink. Kind
Extracellular-matrix damage research probe
Type of test
Fluorescent peptide-hybridization imaging of unfolded or denatured collagen
Sample
Fixed frozen or paraffin tissue sections, collagen-containing matrices, or other biological research samples
Provider
3Helix
How to get
Order the 5-FAM-conjugated F-CHP reagent from 3Helix; use the manufacturer's damaged-collagen histology protocol with a compatible fluorescence microscope or slide scanner.
Details
The Gly-X-Y repeat peptide hybridizes with unfolded collagen chains by forming a triple helix. Without heat-induced epitope retrieval, fluorescence localizes endogenous collagen denaturation from proteolysis, mechanical injury, or pathological remodeling.
