Biolog MitoPlate I-1

Source date not recordedAnalyse record ↗

Research mitochondrial phenotyping platform, not a clinical diagnostic. Saponin permeabilization, the selected substrate and dye-reduction chemistry isolate a defined experimental response; results are not intact-cell oxygen consumption or ATP production measurements. Kind
Mitochondrial inhibitor-sensitivity research platform
Type of test
Kinetic tetrazolium redox assay across 22 preloaded mitochondrial inhibitors at four concentrations
Sample
Viable cultured-cell suspensions, including cell lines or primary cells, permeabilized with saponin at approximately 20,000–40,000 cells per well
Provider
Biolog
How to get
Order MitoPlate I-1 catalog 14104 with Biolog Mitochondrial Assay Solution and Redox Dye MC; saponin and the chosen respiratory substrate are supplied separately. Read kinetically on Odin, OmniLog or a compatible 590 nm microplate reader.
Details
The plate contains electron-transport-chain inhibitors, uncouplers, ionophores and other mitochondrial probes at four doses. With a selected NADH- or FADH2-generating substrate, electron flow reduces Dye MC to a purple product, producing condition-specific inhibitor-sensitivity curves.
